About Bilawara

Bilawara Environmental and Water Solutions is the brainchild of Dr. Donna Odegaard AM and Breakthrough Water Technologies, created to establish an Indigenous company to deliver cutting-edge water and environmental solutions to Indigenous communities across Australia

  • It has been established to address the issue of water scarcity and contamination in Aboriginal First Nations communities.
  • These communities face numerous challenges, including reduced life expectancies and lower standards of living due to a lack of access to potable water. Bilawara aims to develop and deploy innovative water technologies to improve the water quality and access in these areas.

Our Projects

We identify specific water-related problems in communities, develop tailored solutions, and then scale these solutions for similar communities. Our projects range from water sterilisation to heavy metal removal, and beyond.
